It is no secret that the grocery prices, and housing costs are up, and Nevadans are struggling to make ends meet. Hanadi wants to increase wages to match the cost of living so families are not drowning in debt orforced to work multiple jobs just to make a living. Nevada workers are the backbone of our economy and should be treated as such which means protecting our union workers and taking on greedy big corporations. Hanadi is a hard worker and wants to bring new career opportunities to Nevada so that Nevada’s economy can continue to grow and attract future generations to call Nevada home.

Housing/Rental Cost

Nevada has a housing crisis on its hands and it’s not a problem that will solve itself. Rental fees have skyrocketed and Nevadans are facing eviction notices because they simply cannot afford to live in Nevada. Hanadi recognizes this problem and is ready to support and push legislation that will lower the cost of housing, and protect renters from landlords who seek to overcharge them and force them to pay rental fees. Hanadi wants to increase the overall quality of our communities, and make them affordable for all families.

Health Care

Hanadi has dedicated her life to ensuring that Nevadans receive the best medical care, as the head of a health care facility in southern Nevada Hanadi knows the importance of ensuring healthcare is affordable and accessible to all regardless of their financial status or background. For this reason Hanadi is not only going to push legislation that increases the access to quality healthcare, but increase the overall quality of Nevada’s healthcare system. Hanadi believes that we must invest in upgrading the infrastructure of our hospitals and health care facilities. Hanadi understands that no one chooses to get sick so they shouldn’t be burdened down with medical bills and forced to decide between feeding their families and getting the medical help that they need. In the legislature Hanadi is committed to bringing the concerns of Nevadans to the forefront to make healthcare more affordable.

Public Safety

Hanadi is a firm believer that a safe community is a thriving community and that if we truly want to progress Nevada forward we must make it a safe place for everyone. Hanadi is committed to growing partnerships with our public safety agencies and ensuring they have the resources they need to adequately protect us. Hanadi wants to increase funding and training opportunities for our officers, firefighters, and medical personnel so that the overall confidence and relationship between the community and those supposed to keep us safe is improved.

Education

Hanadi comes from a family of physicians who showed her the benefits and the importance of receiving a quality education. For this reason Hanadi is committed to improving the quality of Nevada’s education system so that every child regardless of their zip code and background has the opportunity to excel and be successful. Hanadi’s focus is to: increase teacher salaries to attract more educators to Nevada, decrease class sizes to increase one-on-one assistance between teachers and students, guarantee a permanent school breakfast and lunch program for ALL students, and increase school funding to ensure teachers and support staff have all the resources they need for a successful school year. Hanadi is ready to further her commitment to education in the legislature by passing and supporting legislation that will make education the top priority.

Gun Violence

Hanadi believes gun violence has no place in our country and definitely not in our communities. Hanadi is dedicated to cultivating a community that is not forced to face the harsh devastation of sense gun violence. Hanadi is a firm believer that you can protect the 2nd amendment and the lives of others at the same time by passing legislation that introduces background checks for gun owners to keep guns out of the hands of those who wish to inflict harm on others. Gun violence prevention is near and dear to Hanadi, which led her to participate in the successful ballot measure that strengthened Nevada’s background checks on all gun sales law and will ultimately save lives.

Reproductive Rights

Hanadi Nadeem is pro-choice candidate who is committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose. Hanadi believes that a woman’s decision regarding her body should be her own without government interference and shame. Hanadi is committed to protecting access to abortion in Nevada along with contraception and IVF treatment. Once in the Nevada Legislature, Hanadi will support and push legislation that will expand access to comprehensive reproductive care here in Nevada. As the head of an Health Care facility in Nevada, Hanadi understands how important it is that women are able to receive the quality care they need and deserve, and the grave consequences that occur when they are denied access to quality reproductive care. For this reason Hanadi will continue to fiercely advocate for women across Nevada.

Environment

Hanadi is a strong advocate for a clean environment. Hanadi understands that climate change is real and that it won’t go away unless we address it. Hanadi wants to leave the planet better than it was for future generations and that means investing in clean energy. Hanadi believes that every community should have access to clean air and clean water and that making that happen means addressing the climate crisis head on. Hanadi will support legislation that will limit pollution and increase renewable energy practices within our state.
